Amanda Suey’s career trajectory is a great example of how the sparks of childhood interest can result in a creative career. Since she was a little girl in Northern California, Legos have been one of her favorite toys. Part of the appeal was working to understand how things fit together. One of her main projects growing up was trying to duplicate her family home with the plastic bricks.  Her curiosity and drive to create led her to a mechanical engineering degree at the University of California, Irvine. In her final year at school she authored a paper examining the way an innovative industrial mechanical arm changed the way the Harry Potter ride could move.  That attention to detail and engineering mindset serve her well in her role of CAD Designer at TechMDinc. On any given day, Amanda can be found crafting a digital version of engineering plans, generating paper versions for client interactions, or integrating new ideas from clients and engineers ideas into draft concepts.
