Since childhood, CAD Operator Vanessa Miranda has been driven to create. Her role at TechMDinc gives her a satisfying part to play in facilitating new ideas. While much of her work is a collaboration with engineers to design sound and video systems, she is also responsible for transferring location plans with project specs to a format easily understood by clients. Vanessa’s technical skills help clients grasp the vision and plans of engineers in an accessible way that moves projects from idea to reality.

Though her first aspirations included designing large public spaces and working in themed entertainment, she’s pursued a wide array of professional endeavors.  Vanessa’s background includes show set design, retail and residential lighting design, and interior design. Each opportunity provided a new perspective on living and working in non-corporate system that relies on innovation.

With an undergraduate degree in History of Art and Visual Culture from University of California, Santa Cruz and a post-graduate certificate in Interior Design from UCLA, Vanessa is continually seeking new skills and experiences. In addition to visiting museums, concerts, theme parks, and traveling abroad, she’s in the process of getting a certificate in photography from Los Angeles Center for Photography and is experimenting with creating electronic music.  There’s no telling where her capacity for creation and hunger for inspiration will take her next.
