Designing audio, video, and control systems for our clients involves many technological disciplines and requires a close relationship with dozens of manufacturers. We work closely with our providers to assure that we make the most of the capabilities of their products. When that’s not enough we create our own solutions, including custom modifications and software.
Video Playback and Projection
We design video playback systems from a simple flat screen, to surround screens, to displays over multiple screens and irregular surfaces.
Projector systems range from the simplest video projectors, to moving-head designs for moving projection, to 3D passive and active systems, to the design-bending Dataton WATCHOUT system.
Video sources range from standard NTSC to JPG2000 to HD-3D. We provide extensive video editing, content additions, and mastering to deliver a complete visual solution for any projects—regardless of size or complexity.
We evaluate and select vendors and individual speakers based on fidelity, performance, and suitability for each project.
For presentation and training projects, we have numerous choices and solutions for speaker installations ranging in size from small embedded drivers to full-range cabinets (powered and passive), to massive line arrays and clusters. More discrete designs for fixed installations are seamlessly integrated into architectural and scenic elements.
Audio Distribution and DSP
TechMD, Inc. has been a proponent, developer, and eager user of Ethernet audio distribution and DSP-based control systems since their commercial inception.
Our designs for themed entertainment are un-compressed, wire-quality Ethernet-based, up to 96kHz – 24-bit resolution systems. Installations include systems as large as 1000+ inputs and 2000+ outputs to processors, amplifiers, and speakers.
We’re also one of five worldwide certified independent QSYS programmers, so you can count on us to know what we’re doing.
Our choices for amplification are based first and foremost on reliability. We prefer high-power in small form-factors, network control, and remote monitoring.
Regardless of the complexity of a presentation or training venue, be it a full corporate presentation or a viewer-actuated display, our control systems bring complex systems and options down to a very simple, intuitive, yet comprehensive interface.
Control surfaces range from intercom buttons to wall-mount control panels to custom touch-pad video screens.
Media comes to us in all sorts of formats and must be normalized and integrated into one deliverable package.
We are often called upon to add additional audio, video, and effects elements. For this, we use a suite of audio and video products to pull everything together.
Custom Software Development
Whenever possible, we utilize existing software control assets provided by equipment manufacturers, vendors, and the clients themselves.
It is not uncommon, however, for us to develop custom software to integrate these varied and various components into one coherent, intuitive, and reliable software backbone.
WHERE WE WORK
We work internationally on a regular basis. Wherever your venue, we can make it happen.
Our projects have taken us around the globe. From our home port in Los Angeles to Paris, France; Tokyo, Japan; and more—we’re a regular group of globetrotters. We maintain work visas and credentials for all team members who travel overseas so we’re ready to go when you are.
Let us know where and when and we’ll make it happen.
