As a Senior Associate Engineer at TechMDinc, Charlie is able to bring his experience studying theatre design and technology at Penn State to the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. After a friend from school started working at TechMDinc, he suggested Charlie apply for an internship. This led to him moving to Los Angeles in January 2016 to take on an engineering role at the company.
Moving from rural Pennsylvania to Los Angeles is a significant shift, but Charlie’s frequent backpacking and camping trips to national parks in Southern California always remind him of home. One recent highlight was a five-day camping trip Charlie took with friends to explore Death Valley National Park.
At TechMDinc, Charlie enjoys the logical and creative challenge of designing AV systems that help tell the stories clients present at their attractions. He worked on-site for system integration and show programming for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame project, as well as the Museum of the Bible and Shanghai Disneyland projects.
Charlie loves the collaborative culture at TechMD and the fact he is able to bike to work – which has led to his interest in pursuing mountain biking on his future camping trips.
