Elegant show control is a hallmark of many of TechMD’s projects. Mike Matthews is the programming wizard behind much of that magic. His code helps run the Ford Rouge Interactive Plant Tour, the audio and video at Shanghai Disneyland, and many other themed entertainment attractions. At a young age, Mike discovered dual passions for computers and music through piano lessons and his family’s Apple IIe. Over the years he’s continued to explore many facets of music and technology by earning bachelor’s degrees in computer science and music technology at Virginia Tech in 2010 and a master’s at University of California Irvine in 2013 in integrated composition, improvisation and technology. He’s currently following his curiosity into the realm of virtual reality.
